Formal Education Structure in Pakistan

The Education System in Pakistan is generally divided into six levels: 
1. Primary education (for the age from 2.5 to 5 years); primary (grades one through five);
2. Middle (grades six through eight); 
3. High (grades nine and ten, leading to the Secondary School Certificate or SSC);
4. Intermediate (grades eleven and twelve, leading to a Higher Secondary (School) Certificate or HSC); and 
5. University programs leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees.
